We are damn near T-minus two months out from the unveiling of this year’s Cercador Prize finalists. (September 30th, mark your calendars.)

Rest assured, our bookseller committee has been diligently scouring the globe—because who doesn’t love a good globe-scouring—in pursuit of quality translation work. If you can name a better source for trustworthy book recommendations than a collaborative cross-country cabal of independent booksellers, well, I’m all ears. Otherwise, strap in and get ready to have your interest piqued.

This month, we tapped Bryan Seitz of Ann Arbor, MI’s Literati Bookstore (2019 PW Bookstore of the Year) to share just some of the translated literature that he’s been handselling like it’s his job. (Which, you know, it quite literally is.)
